Glad to see that editors are openly elaborating their complex editing process. So the beginner editors can be familiar with the industry-standard workflows.

It's amazing how this looks so much like editing a basic YouTube video, yet it's an extremely intense and heavy version of it. I'm just a beginner and i'm pretty sure i can't even have a grasp on how difficult this is. Huge respect to the all editors around the world.

If editors of big movies would be more open about their BTS and upload videos on YouTube about it, I’d be obsessed with all those videos. I don’t know what it is but being able to see what happens BTS of a big/popular movie is so interesting to me. Anyone else agree?

Girl who edited an entire movie: You don't need a program....
Youtube editor: Buy my program...

This movie along with Everything Everywhere All At Once are prime examples of "what you edit with doesn't matter". Seen so many videos recently where people argue which editing software is better so this video is such a fresh breath of air. Story is King and anything after that doesn't matter.

wow this was cool to see. I've always wondered how the editing process of a movie looks compared with a YouTube video.

All the time i was watching the movie i was wondering how was it made. Kind of incredible all the editing was done by just two people, really amazing job!

Finally, a deep dive into the editing process I've been eager to see! It's enlightening to witness how technology and creativity intertwine to bring a story to life. The journey from 'Searching' to 'Missing' showcases the evolution of storytelling through a computer screen. The advice on networking, seizing opportunities, and continuous learning resonates deeply. Thank you for sharing your craft with us! 🎬✂️

Hey thanks for sharing all this great content you put out in food for thought. I’m at 55 year old editor in Kansas City and unfortunately I find that my age kills the opportunities that I wish I had more of. It’s basically a hobby of mine to learn to edit. But people see the gray here and turn away. As frustrating as it gets your contact gives me hope and an inspiration to continue on so thank you for sharing and making our lives better John the editor that used to be a yellow cab driver in Kansas City

That looks like a nightmare to work on.

Javier was definitely the most heartwarming, enjoyable character in this thriller! Great job on editing. It took me at least half an hour to get used to this concept of seeing things from digital screens but then I loved it!

Love seeing into the process of work on such a high level. This movie was awesome and it's so cool to see how it's all just made from tools and techniques I've used myself on a way smaller scale. Seeing the "pre-vis" version is inspirational, it really shows all the hard work that went into it.
