There's something infinitely hilarious about him reciting the lyrics in this calm, "posh" voice.

System.

This song was about as subtle as a sledgehammer in the face. Loved it.

Me and my mate were at a rave about 2005 and he was on last, at the end of the night we shouted "Richard!!! come and have a chat with us", he did and i think we spent about 10 minutes discussing just what he's saying here, was one of the highlights of my raving career, He told us he's so proud of this tune because it was just a piss take and a massive middle finger to the establishment, One love

Oh the brilliant irony of this getting to UK No.1 during Radio 1's drug awareness week.

We got the lyrics quite well, don't worry about that.

We also knew that we shouldn't draw too much attention to it if we wanted to keep this playing on the radio.

Mr C is a pure legend Him and Angus with the Shamen shaped dance music in the 90's and I had the pleasure of seeing Mr C many times at the End.

LEGEND #bring back The Shamen. The Prodigy and The Shamen were my favourite dance acts of the 90s. I remember being in grant Canaria a round 1993 and The Shamen song L.S.I was playing in every pub and club out there, and everytime I gear it, it brings back good memories of being on holiday in gran Canaria,

LoL If you lived in Braintree you knew what this song was all about. Saw Mr C at the Essex Barn, Keith lived in a squat with my mate, Leroy had a Mk1 escort that had to have specially fitted bucket seats for his long legs... so many good memories :)

How this got past the BBC at TOTP is hilarious! "The Voice of Youth? They're still wearing flares!" -Rik Mayall.😆

Back then when we jumped around to this stuff (i still do) this tune was a middle finger up to the police, the powers that be, the media and mainstream radio stations (BBC) cuz they banned rave music esp if there was a reference to E's or Acid. Infact it was almost like the film Footloose!!! I couldnt believe this was played every day for years during the rave scene.
