Lars Mittank, a compassionate and easygoing young man, was a hard working engineer and overall fantastic family man of Itzehoe, Germany. His free-spirited personality and love of all things travelling was cut short by an unexplainable, unsolved disappearance in July of 2014, leaving all who knew him around Northern Germany and the entirety of the internet at large grasping for answers in a sea of evidence that drowned us all in doubt…

As a hope to provide more substantial reasoning built upon observable evidence and situational analysis, this is an examination of Lars Mittank’s unsettling disappearance at the Varna Airport in Bulgaria and the mysterious CCTV footage that was released soon thereafter...

This was the unsolved mystery that hooked me into unsolved mysteries. I want Lars to be found so badly

Given that his uncharacteristically bizarre behavior came on immediately after a fight I wondered if it was bleeding and/or swelling within the brain.

There's no way i could have my buddies leave without me in a foreign country. That's just crazy

The paranoia could be a combo of the antibiotics side effects if he was drinking alcohol and a missed head injury from the beating. Well done video CCD💕

This is a super frustrating case. This poor man was having severe issues and couldn’t get proper care or help

Thank you for telling Lars' story with the dignity & respect he deserves. I've seen this story so many times on YouTube, but this presentation is done with class. Lars is a human being & deserves to be found one way or another. As a parent, I cannot imagine what his parents are going through not knowing where their child is or what became of him.

5 friends left him in a foreign place, state and situation. Not even 1 stayed with him.

Hi, I am from Varna, I looked where the hotel is located, it is literally 500-600 meters from the largest police station in the city and a few minutes walk from the city center. The fact that the area is known for human trafficking is absolutely wrong. Although 7 years have passed, I hope they will find it somewhere safe and in good health. I hope something bad has not happened to him in the fields or forests around the airport. Alone, in an unknown country, without knowing exactly where he is without a GPS, without anyone to rely on for help.

This is immeasurably well narrated. I haven't watched a crime documentary so well done. Thank you. You've earned yourself a fan in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Been following this weird case for years, but this is by far the best & most informative video of it I’ve seen yet on YouTube. Top-quality content like usual.

This case is so frustrating. I'm so sorry for him, his friends and his family.

It's almost like this is two separate mysteries. 1) What made him flee and 2) What ultimately happened to him. Many years ago I recall missing my connecting flight and ending up in a hotel similar to the one Lars did. I didn't know the language, had next to no money, it was before the days of mobile phones. I think I literally sat up all night in the dingy bedroom just waiting for daylight to appear so I couldhead back to the airport and get away. At 3am, one hears all sorts of odd sounds and the imagination runs riot. So I can empathise with Lars that last night he spent in the Hotel Color.

I am from Bulgaria, and I just wanted to say, Doctor Kostov story about a maintenance worker barging in is more than plausible. It happens quite often too, at all sorts of appointments albeit medical, administrative or business like. And I agree 110% with the conclusion of the channel

Every time I hear this story I can’t help but think that maybe he either had some crazy reaction to his meds or was accidentally given something else that could cause psychosis. Some meds that can cause psychosis will definitely dilate your pupils. Unfortunately they can also cause dehydration which could cause someone to drop dead while sprinting through a field or wooded area not to be found again. I feel for his family and friends.

How horrible. I'd feel so helpless not being able to help my son.

I just can't figure why he hasn't been found, neither him alive nor his body.
And even if he was driven to a psychosis, why would it have come on in a split second and what would it have caused him to do which led to a permanant disappearance.?
