Had a F28 fault. Boiler would only ignite 1 in 10 times and would not reignite one started . Followed your Video and it turned out to be Faulty HT leads. Thanks for the great advice

I usually find it's the spark generator or the electrodes unless the boilers are old. Then wiring or occasionally gas valve has gone bad internally.
Frozen condi or blocked flue in rare cases.

Also check water pressure in heating system for F28 fault code. Increasing the pressure fixed the issue in my case.

My vaillant boiler is locked out checked S codes and the boiler trys to fire up but fails with S97 followed by S11 good vid btw :)

One thing to look out for

I had an intermittent f28, it was a blocked drain. Only locked out when the bath was let out and caused the lock out.

Questioning the customer properly was how I figured it out
