It would have been nice to have seen more footage of this Manson; the version that people worshiped, before his mind was shattered from years of solitary confinement.

It's crazy to think he died in 2017 like he really lived a full life in prison

He sounds and acts the same way 30 years later. He's truly unlocked something we haven't lol. Charles Manson is definitely someone special but indeed fucking insane

As you can plainly see this Manson was very convincing, very soft spoken, almost self-effacing. You can easily understand how he was able to seduce intelligent men and women to follow him. This Manson has charisma; I mean, genuine charisma, the kind that you cannot so easily dismiss, the kind that engages the listeners and pulls them in.

Wow, whatever they did to him after he was sentenced literally broke his mind, I’ve never heard an interview where he speaks so coherently. In this clip he really doesn’t seem like a guy who would do any of the shit he was convicted of

For the first couple of years he pretended to look normal, maybe he thought they will let him out. After the mid-70's he realised that he's gonna stay imprisoned for the rest of his life, so he began to have a ball on paroles.

Tex Watson is the "Charlie Manson" everyone accused him (charlie) of being.

There is a footage showing susan atkins in this exact same interview where she is seen mimicking manson as if she knows exactly what he will answer

The podcast Young Charlie is the best short run podcast I've ever heard and im not even close to a Manson enthusiast. Two narrators switch back and forth between Charlie's very early days and the decade leading up to the murders. Its spellbinding.

Tex Watson (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) “Charlie said to kill everyone in there, now he either said that, or i’m a liar, and are you calling me a liar” as he holds up a knife to a young girls face. at least someone got the real story down

He really reminds me of Lawrence Olivier's portrayal of Richard III

I ain’t buying the Helter Skelter crap. Drug deal gone wrong. Charlie ain’t wanna snitch cuz he would’ve been dead a long time ago if he spilled what really happened.

He is now an icon and will still be talked about in 200 years

I always thought Manson was a scapegoat. Media really hyperbolized him to make him much more than he was. But he seems to be the object for people to project their morals over without looking at themselves. “Manson is a killer, a manic, a manipulator.” Take a look back and say have we not contributed? We always cast blame and think we are all squeaky clean. That’s what’s interesting about Manson, he was the culture scapegoat to project all their morality while they are the same generation bombing people in Vietnam.

Everyone should read Nikolas Schreck's The Manson File - the only one I've read that tells the truth about the murders and all aspects of Manson.

The state of Calif. abolished the death penalty so Manson and the others got life. Besides, they thought Manson was too interesting to kill so they kept him alive. Ha.

He was under MK Ultra. 60s was the breakthrough of hallucinogens in America.
