It’s not rising prices. That’s the RESULT of inflation.
Inflation is an over abundance of a monetary form of exchange, or dollars.
Every dollar the Fed allows to be printed reduces the value of that dollar.

Yes the rate of inflation increased dramatically when Trump increased tariffs on imported products which increased sellers cost that are transferred to consumer. Using this logic where is all the tax money that was collected shouldn't that be used to open up different manufactured and agricultural jobs.

As usual, Trump has no clue what he's talking about. The two containers of Tic Tacs that he presented are not the same price. The smaller container comes with multiples in a bigger Tic Tac container. It would be just as stupid if he presented a 2 liter bottle of soda and a can of soda, then called it inflation.

I know there's many people who think this man is the smartest man, but he really has the education of a kindergartner.

What Trump Illustrated is very misleading. He is trying to prove about inflation that is for the same dollar amount you are a receiving a smaller portion of what you used to receive. First, he pulled out the bigger size Tic Tac, then he showed the audience of the much smaller Tic Tac. He said somebody gave him the smaller Tic Tac. Since somebody gave him the smaller Tic Tac, he didn't know how much the buyer paid for the smaller Tic Tac. Without knowing the price of the smaller Tic Tac, it is misleading to conclude that the two different sizes of Tic Tac were selling at the same price but two years apart.
