Yeah it would be nice if the rear seats fold down. I know this is car shares part of the same platform as the Toyota Avalon which does have fold down seats. From what I have read the reason it doesn't have fold down seats is the fact that there is steel bolstering behind the rear seats to help give it more stability. I guess it is known for a plush ride so that may help in the handling department. I don't know if I believe it but there you go.
