Many people look for that beautifully blurred background they see in all professional photos. Well in this video, I look at how to get this effect the simple way on your smartphone or the more complicated and sophisticated way on your compact, mirrorless, bridge, or DSLR camera. I speak of the one setting that is the most important; Aperture.

At 3:01, I say "sensibility" to light. It is supposed to be "sensitivity". Sorry

Hey man, thanks for the videos, also you have a very soothing voice.

I was checking it out your videos on the Fujifilm cameras and I wanted to ask for advice. I have a budget of about $600 and I want to buy my first Fuji camera, I’m only interested in stills.

I can either get a used X-T1 for about $250 ($300 for the silver version) or a used X-T2 with the kit lens for about $550. I’ve seen many people say that the X-T1 is “more fun” to shoot with, which is scaring me away from the X-T2, even though the deal might be better. What do you recommend? Is it worth it to go for the X-T2? I’ll also be trying lots of vintage lenses (and the modern Fuji lenses if I can get them) so autofocus isn’t THAT important, but I’m sure it’ll help sometimes. It will only be a hobby for me, so I just want to enjoy the system more than anything. Thank you!

I tried using portrait mode but around the borders its usally not perfect or it makes the borders themselves blurry too. A camera on the other side is too annoying to take around. Is there an way i can get real bokeh on a phone camera?
