Canadian Brass was for twenty years fortunate to have a great manager and friend in Germany, Bärbel Münster, who told us many times that our version of Bach’s “Air on the G String’ was her lieblingslied ( favourite song), so of course we finished our programmed at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt dedicating this to her!

Un millón de gracias de un rendido admirador... estoy escribiendo mientras me seco las lágrimas. Los matices, dinámicas, respiraciones, movimientos de tempo... todo con una coordinación inaudita y con un corazón y alma no superados hasta la fecha... por mucho que dominen el instrumento, pocos de los músicos actuales son tan artistas ni son capaces de emocionarse y emocionar al público como ellos. UNOS ARTISTAS como pocos quedan.

I was fortunate enough to see the Canadian Brass at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the late 70's as a kid. Wonderful concert. I still play my trumpet to this day. 😎❤️🎺

Thank you for posting this, what a lovely flashback of fond memories of the group during this era. This was the tuba that was first used for the first carbon fiber bell. I remember November 1994 was when Chuck had the first carbon fiber Bell put on this body and valve set. I was 20 years old and went to a Master class they did in Dallas Texas.
