These tectonic plates rest upon the convecting mantle, which causes them to move. The movements of these plates can account for noticeable geologic events such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and more subtle yet sublime events, like the building of mountains. But the movement of these tectonic plates is likely caused by convection currents in the molten rock in Earth's mantle below the crust. Earthquakes and volcanoes are the short-term results of this tectonic movement. The long-term result of plate tectonics is the movement of entire continents over millions of years which is actually being discussed in this beautiful lecture.

India sits on the Indian tectonic plate, which is a major tectonic plate in the Earth's crust. This plate is predominantly located beneath the Indian Ocean and the Indian subcontinent.

Our earth was also once fire of ball, but today this heat is inside our earth in core, and this causes some phenomenal things to happen, like, Convection cuurrnt, and sinking of old plates inside, thats slab pull, gravity also plays some role here, and hot want to rise and cold want to submrgd more inside, well Thanks sir, and One request, if possible kindly please that old background tuning in you video, thats creates diffrnt magic in understanding the topic! though this was also fine!

I think "The Chicxulub impactor" started all the tectonic movements. It ended the Cretaceous period, and it might be responsible for the tectonic movements. With that kind of destructive forces. It might be possible.

Ans. Movement of convection current waves from core to earth crust surface

Let's discuss
Actually
In the geography of Earth's core it is further divided into two layers one inner core of solid iron around 2200fts and the outer core is the semiperpectual liquid which is always in motion and apart from that all the tectonic plates are carried by the outer layer and of which the tectonic plates are moving
E.g. our magnetic North pole in the Atlantic Ocean is continuously moving towards south @21 miles/year
Thank you
