During the border conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2021, Azeri troops occupied territory within the Armenian border.
Because of this, Armenia invoked the CSTO’s mutual defense clause, only for Russia to leave them out to dry.
And yet, the Kremlin wonders why Armenia is turning against them…
