Close comparison, although flip 6 is on the edge. But for the price comparison, flip 5 is defn a go-to.

5 smoother, 6 more articulate. JBL cross overs can be hit or miss.
I am going for a 6, over vocals.

I have both and i wouldnt say theres any differance in sound ... Dont let a 10 cent tweeter change your choice especialy if you get a better price on a 5 because many non tweeter speakers sound better then others with a tweeter. The 6 might be better only because it has the 3 band equalizer but if your not into adjusting eq the 5 is just as good .

flip 6 has more clarity in the mids and highs, flip 5 feels a little saturated compared to flip 6, flip 6 definitely has an improvement

Congrats! Best Speaker comparison I've ever seen so far. I have 2 JBL Flip 5, 1 JBL Charge 4 and 1 Anker Soundcore Motion +.
In my opinion JBL Flip 5 in Stereo Mode is awesome but the Anker Anker Soundcore Motion + is epic on its own...!
As a Side Note: The Sonic Suite Companion from ASUS makes the sound of any Speaker even better. FYI

The 6 has clearer sound as to be expected but honestly, I have the 5 and it sounds just fine to me, not really worth spending the extra money for 6. I would get another 5 for stereo and I'll be happy with that.

Nice nice i got my second jbl flip 5 yesterday and now i have stereo sound! the bass and loudness is increased very much!

A good video side by side. 6 Def has better highs and bass sounded good. Only wished you did the last song on both.

The flip 5 has a much better sound quality. The flip 6 sounds distorted when played to high. I think the small tweeter is the cause of this problem. It's sounds like a cheap quality made speaker. I returned mine the same day I purchased it

I think the JBL flip 6 clearly has better insterment seperation and trebble clairity than the flip 5. It also has a slightly more powerfull and punchy bass with an overall slightly higher max volume. I would 100% go with the flip 6.

We need to get feedback from the person playing the speakers. They sound similar to me, but then the sound of these 2 speakers is playing thru my own speaker. Don't know how can we really hear the difference, unless we hear the actual speakers, and not thru our own phones. If you understand what i mean.

Flip 6 has good sound quality, but for use on a work desk, the distance is 30-50 cm, is it still safe & comfortable for your ears ?

I bought 5 then exchanged for 6. 6 sounds better with twitter and has better Bluetooth.
