The Welsh dragon isn’t from the romans, but from the story of the battle of the red and white dragon, also the welsh language was nearly eradicated by the punishment of children speaking it with the “Welsh not” and the burning of books ect by the English government, is is a pretty MAJOR fact in the history of Wales that should have been included.

As a person with English, Irish, Welsh and Maltese Ancestry...Wales is by far one of the most under appreciated countries on the planet. They have punched well above their weight for centuries. A bit soul destroying to hear the same old false narrative about the Saxons pushing the Welsh into Wales through Conquest, which isn't true. Wales was always the power base of the Britons, due to its Topography. What would become known as England was used more as a trade center than for governance.

When I hear Wales I think of the actor, Michael Sheen, love him dearly, and yes that awesome flag. Also Doctor Who since it’s filmed in Cardiff.

To everybody reading this, I hope that whatever is bothering you or that you are continuously worried about improves. May your mind be free of gloomy thoughts, overthinking, and skepticism right now. May clarity triumph over ambiguity. May your life be filled with peace and tranquility.

As a Welsh descendant, Diolch yn fawr for spotlighting fy nhad's country. Also, I love that you made an attempt at pronouncing the unpronounceable Welsh words. Humor and compassion is what bridges the gaps between people

Why no mention of Owain Glyndwr who unified Wales formed a Welsh university, set Welsh Laws and invaded England as far as Oxford.
Owain was far more successful than William Wallace (Brave heart). He is seen as a national hero and freedom fighter in the country. His statue can be seen in every major town in Wales and his flag flown across the land.

Love this so much. You mixed up the daffodil fact. A daffodil is 'Cenin Pedr' and a leek is 'Cenin'

Very disappointed that when mentioning Welsh Sporting figures there was not a mention of the most famous Welsh boxer Joe Calzaghe who was pound for pound THE best boxer in his division in the world. He won 47 out of 47 fights and retired unbeaten.

The Principality will always be the Millennium Stadium to me. I went as a kid to see Wales beat Italy 2-1 in the football.

🎶 “They say it’s got a sliding roof, that slowly walks away…
They slid it back, when Wales attack..
So God can watch them play!”🎶

From the US, spent a couple months in rural /coastal Wales a few years better. Wanted to learn the language but it was just to hard to actually get good enough to use—not an option with most language courses.

However—I did manage to learn how the letters in the alphabet were pronounced, and that took like 10 minutes, you could have done that lol Hearing you pronounce dd as d every time was funny. It’s easy, except for ll. I’m convinced it’s the trick they put in to see if you’re Welsh.

Loved the video and hearing lots of pop culture type facts.

There are twice as many churches as there are castles in Wales about 1, 600. 14 years ago there were 4000 churches . There also exist thousands of chapels .A lot of the closed religious buildings got re-modelled into rather interesting houses.

I think you missed an important fact: the UK's first all-volunteer heritage/preservation railway is located in Wales.
