The only time she said “I won an Oscar” is when she mentioned her parents. She was so humble in all of her speech but she took that moment for herself.

Congrats to her. It was deserved

Hope this is the first of MANY nominations for Stephanie Hsu ✨

I loved when JLC exclaimed “Shut Up!” when her name was announced. Not only does it remind me of Freaky Friday, but it’s her being her authentic self. I always liked Jamie Lee Curtis, because she’s a versatile performer who always brings 100% of her intelligence, charm, talent, confidence, strength and energy into every role she’s tackled ever since she made her film debut in Halloween. She’s a definite one-of-kind.

My favorite acceptance speech, she oozes everything good about a human being!

This was one of the most competitive categories ever. Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu were all deserve to win the award.

The emotion on her face and in her voice when she mentioned her legendary parents. Both of them got nominated but never won. Achieving something your parents never could like this has to be overwhelming, especially when she realizes how proud they must be.

Although Stephanie Hsu moved me with her character and Kerry Condon gives an applause-worthy supporting performance, I can't be mad at Jamie Lee's win. While I don't consider her performance better than the other nominees, she steals every scene she's in and it's good to see the Oscars rewarding comedic performances.

Jamie Lee Curtis is a deadpan perfection as a tax auditor in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Her entire performance was utterly brilliant. She deserved that Oscar!

Even though she wasn't my favorite, i'm very happy for her. She's a great actress and she still made a very good perfomance in the film. Also that speech is amazing

She’s a legend! Halloween, True Lies, A Fish Called Wanda, Freaky Friday, My Girl...

I never thought she would win an Oscar, but it's so beautiful to see her getting her flowers and for a performance in a genre movie.

She didn't think she was going to win. You can see it in her face when they announced her name. She even says "OH SHIT SHUT UP!" Love her!

This, alongside her SAG acceptance speech, are two of the best award speeches of all time. Totally genuine, sincere and heartfelt. She did the right thing by relentlessly campaigning for not quite herself, but for the movie, her peers and Michelle. She successfully contributed to keeping EEAAO on full momentum throughout the award season. And I believe the academy voted for her victory due to her affable personality and as homage to her iconic career, but her performance in EEAAO shouldn't be denied at all. Her campaign only worked because there clearly wasn't a real strong, leading contender in this category this year.

She deserves the Oscar just for the speech

What a genuine speech! It is important that Jamie Lee Curtis won the SAG Award, which really led to a momentum. Although I don't think her performance is better than the performances of other nominees, I still feel so happy that she got recognised by the Academy at the age of 65.

Compare Angela and Stephanie.

Like Stephanie felt even happier for Jamie winning like she won it and that hits.

I love the little interaction when Michelle Yeoh's husband goes to hug her, Michelle then holds out an arm to stop him and he gives her a quizzical look 😂

Around 1:19 you can see Angela still sitting not even standing up. Damn it really hit her hard.
