I found the save as feature to uncheck "write variable names to file" with SPSS Version 29 on a Mac.

Here's how to enable it:
Edit/Options/General/UNCHECK "Display native MacOS file dialogs"/Apply/Ok

Do you know why cannot I save as my file from sav to dat file? I use Macbook but there is no option to change the file into other file types.

The number of observations is 0. Check your data and format statement.

*** ERROR
Invalid symbol in data file:
"2" at record #: 1, field #: 1
