Techland showed us with their support on the first dying light, that they care very much about the community’s honest feedback. Wish more devs were like them.

Techland is the best company for reworking their games, so if this is something they are willing to do, good on them. You already know the game will be supported for half a decade or more, so if they have ill-received parts that are made better by being taken out altogether, it improves the experience of those who buy it later or people who do multiple playthroughs.

As someone who played the dlc after this update I really liked ciro and the whole intro sequence I didn't even know anything else about the dlc before this

A small change that I would like about this DLC is the fact that I can drop the unique clothes like Ciro's hat and the gauntlet shield, I already have doubles of those that I don't use and that are sitting in my stash

Its more of a shocker to see a company still caring about their past games, when compared to Bliz and Activision/Treyarch recent game news. What the DL2 devs are doing is godlike in comparison

I would've removed the entire 3 challenges requirement part to get into Carnage Hall, I just wanted to get into Carnage Hall instead of doing these boring challenges

Also, I think it's good they make the story more compelling and I hope future updates focus more on our choices interacting and reshaping the city, right now* it is just not what they promised us

I remember the OG Dying Light being pretty ok during its release, but I was unimpressed by the game feel and the muddy graphics. During its lifetime thouhg, Techland updated it so much that by the time i got back to it like, 3 or 4 years later, it felt like a completely different, much better game. It looks like theyre using the same method here. Create the base, the fine tune it via free updates alongside paid story DLC. Personally, I think it works for them really well. You KNOW a game they make is going to get supported 800% more (and 800% longer) than most AAA game releases do nowadays.
