He really is a breath of fresh air, he's been a joy to watch, breath-taking snooker. He did it the hard way but he made it look easy.

He played over 130 frames during those five matches.

When his opponents played amazing and got huge leads he found another gear and came back so hard that they went from potting everything to struggling, and he steamrolled them.

When he had big leads and his opponents did the same to him and grabbed the momentum... He lifted again and put them away.

The manner in which he played will be the most memorable part. He was relentless.He had a consistent rhythm and he was playing clean up the whole two weeks. When the frames were won, he entertained. When they were close... He entertained.

He beat 3 World Champions with 14:World titles between them and he so fully deserves his place beside them.

The "Luca Snooker" was so delightful to watch. No wonder Ronnie was so full of gushing praise for him, after his loss to him. His swashbuckling, cavalier style is so easy on the eye, but he became world champion, because it was backed up but some great safety play, and having massive bottle. When Mark pulled him back to 16-15, I thought he'd blown his chance, but he held his nerve under huge pressure to come through. Selby deserves so much praise for how he kept applying huge pressure to Luca, and his graciousness in defeat. And Luca sending love to Mark's family was so touching and lovely to see. Luca more than lived up to his "Belgian Bullet" nickname, what a player, absolutely loved watching him over the past two weeks, congrats to him! 🎉🎊

As a long time snooker fan from Belgium, it's been a rollercoaster watching Luca come onto the tour and trying to cope with the heavy expectations that come with his immense talent. I'm very happy for him and for snooker in our country. I hope this spawns more clubs and doesn't just mean I have a more difficult time finding a free table at mine 😅

Absolutely fantastic stuff. I loved that he started celebrating during the break once he knew the frame was secure, great to see that emotion and see what it means to him. So rare for someone to win the world championship from outside the usual experienced favourites, refreshing and inspiring to see.

I've never been more happy to see a player become world snooker champion as he does things HIS way. Plays the game how he wants, attacks like nobody I've ever seen. Does it with style of play more players should do as the game can be boring. Wanna see Luca play like this all the time & win more tournaments as he's shown he can clearly do it. Only in his 20's so has many years left in him. Well done Luca, fully deserved.
