Dre's Final Battle vs. Cheng | The Karate Kid (Jaden Smith)

Twelve-year-old Dre Parker could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying but the cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make him an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is a kung fu master. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

The moment at 3:40 always gets me is a very satisfying sweet revenge. Dre hit Cheng in the very same spot where Cheng hit him the very first time they met. It took Cheng of guard that his very own prey would actually destroy him. Dre’s mom Is literally everyone’s reaction were all rooting for the little guy. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing someone take a stand and show everybody up especially those who bullied him what there capable of. Mr. Han is very badass teacher he taught Xiao Dre well, he must be very proud of his boy🌸🦋✨

It was called "The Karate Kid" in America to capitalize on the popularity of the Ralph Macchio/Pat Morita original. In China this film is called "The Kung Fu Dream".

I really liked this movie no matter if it was called the Karate Kid because Jackie Chan still taught him how to fight no matter if it was Karate or Kung Fu he still won the tournament. Karate originated from Chinese Kung Fu and any kind of martial art is great to learn.

You can plainly see that way deep down in his heart, the boy did not really want to break Dre's leg. He was only going by what his crooked master told him to do, "no mercy". But even though he did break his leg, Dre was still the victorious winner in the end!👊💪
