This is the first Special Stage public test by Synergy, member of Sonic Retro. Made for Sonic 2 HD (which is still being worked on as you can all see!)

This is looking freakin' fantastic guys! Everything Yuji Naka wanted it to be. I'm totally pumped about the S2HD project. Keep up the good work!

Looks great! The movement looks done, but I'm gonna guess the things needing to be finished:
- Put in character models (Of couse)
- Ring Counter+Emerald at the end.
- re-vamping the actual look of the stage.
- Giving the yellow ball (Tails) the delayed commands to follow.

And some toher stuff but this looks brilliant and I can't wait :D

Looks really good. Almost reminds me of a 3D model version of the Sonic 2 Special Stages.

@Gencoil you see, its a project and the sonic special stage sprites hasn't been done yet and that blue ball is just a place holder until it gets replaced with the HD sonic special stage sprite when its done ( that makes me wonder is why they didn't use the original sprites instead of the blue ball lol)

You need to work on the draw distance, you can see the turns clip into view.

I think it would be cool if the background of the stage was all psychedlic looking, but that's just me, this looks awesome already for being in its testing stages ^ ^

@zyriuz2 Characters will be 3D models, not sprites, so just using the old sprites wasn't really a suitable option for testing. @VViP30U7, draw distance problem has been eliminated since this video by projecting the most distant points to infinity, so it looks like it comes from a single point.

@SynergyBlades that, I didnt notice, I actually thought it used the same old sprite technique as the old engine but with new features xP ( maybe thats not so strange since the hd tech demo didnt use 3d models or didnt have walking sprites) do you know if they are gonna make more sprites so sonic runs smoother?, I hope sonic 2 hd wont be bound to 60 fps
