When the jack is properly assembled the safety tab that is clearly visible at 0:52 and 0:57 must be peened over into the hole to prevent the anvil from being removed. Bending the tab inwards can also help prevent misalignment of the anvil on the pawl. This design of stand also has a hole in the jack stand that can be used with a an additional cross pin if the anvil has a sequence on holes for this purpose.
