Don't tell the other driver you have a cam. Call the police first and foremost. Then get the police to take the other driver's statement while you retrieve the footage. Show footage to police, and if it blatantly doesn't match the other driver's statement, push for a making false report charge.

NEVER tell someone you have a dashcam. Wait for the police or show it to their insurance company. Some people are willing to hurt you to get that evidence.

#10-The dashcam driver should still have been cited. The Acura was backing up, but appeared to stop. The cammer came to a stop but then started going forwad( you can see the objects around the vehicle moving). I think the cammer is an insurance scammer. But in the end, they were both in the wrong.

6:28 #15 That accident looked avoidable. Cammer sped up when he should have been slowing down! The other driver may have been found at SOME fault but I doubt it they was found 100% at fault. She claims her son didn't go to the left to prevent an accident BUT he SPED up instead?!! How does that prevent an accident? Just because she states the other driver caused the accident in her opening comment doesn't make it so. No. Her son caused that accident by speeding up and closing the gap.

This is the type of situation the State Police and State Attorney General take very seriously. Video #12, at 5:12, it looks like the cammer was pulling over to the right. She crossed the solid white stripe on the right, then cuts a hard left turn. She's at least partially to blame.
EDIT: Now I think the cammer was attempting to pull a U-turn. She's totally at fault.
