Light Sources in the Through-beam Sensor Family
Показать описание
The ease and reliability of self-contained through-beam sensors aside, there are a variety of light sources in the through-beam family, such as:
• Red light, which uses a diffuse beam, is the most economical technology and works well in general automation applications detecting parts down to .5 mm in diameter.
• Laser is the most precise version of light, detecting small parts and variations down to 0.08 mm in high speed.
• Pinpoint red light is somewhere between laser and red light.
• Infrared sensor light gives you the most gain, which means it can overcome misting, grease or dust in the air that can get on lenses and cause bugging or false switching in your application. The smallest detectable part is 1 mm.
