I fucking love the idea of an 1800's man saying "...alright, dude."

I appreciate this respectful meditation on our autistic plight and lives.

I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and actually went to school with one of the descendants of "stonewall" Jackson. His father was an engineer. And they had moved from the east coast. He was extremely autistic....and very proud of his heritage. Made sure everyone knew he was related to stonewall Jackson. Hope bro is doing well, he was a great guy. Super smart, socially terrifying.. used to always yell his words instead of just saying them at a normal voice.

Shane should host a show where he teaches comedians about history and historical figures.

Stonewall got shot in his hand, and held hand above his head to help stop the bleeding. Stonewall was a tactical genius

Stonewall is an extraordinary man. Worth a read. A man of character.

He was is my like great great great uncle on my grandmothers side. We are still in Virginia and very proud of who he was. Thank you for bringing some new attention to him.

If he didn't die by friendly fire the war wouldve gone differently

General Jackson also swore that a grain of black pepper was enough to paralyze one of his legs. He ate a extremely bland diet and spent most of his pre-war life travelling the country with his wife and trying out hydrotherapy, as he was constantly ill and was convinced most of his bodily functions were screwed up in some way or another - developing odd habits (like sitting up straight all the time to relieve intestinal pain) to deal with these issues. Ironically, when the bloodiest war in American history began he became probably the healthiest he'd ever been.

I don't think Jackson was autistic, I personally believe the many social oddities of his are symptoms of his tragic background.
