His slow clap was legit! Then right back to wide eyed fascination. What a dude.

Not knocking your editing by saying this, but the fact that Shane can find the humor in recalling this show without any exaggeration probably made your job a hell of a lot easier! Nicely done.

My dad’s best friend’s son has Down’s syndrome. He and I have basically grown up together, as we’re only a few weeks apart in age. We’re 31 yrs old now. He’ll never lie to you, and will always tell you exactly what he thinks with no biases, no hesitation, and no mercy. He’s short, dense, and as strong as a chimpanzee - especially after he started weightlifting as a hobby.

There was this kid I had in high school who had really bad downsyndrome where he couldn’t talk. He walked around pretending he was the biggest og in a school filled with actual thugs. Biggest target for bullying right. Wrong! Everyone loved the kid. He might not have been able to talk but he was funny and most importantly loyal. constantly smiling with the widest grin just surrounded by the toughest and meanest kids in school who would beat the shit out of anyone willing to make fun of him as he was their best bro

My brother has Downs and once they have something figured out in their eyes there is no convincing them of what the truth really is. Whenever I have one of these arguments with him his response is always “no a not” or “yes a do.”

It's funny cause Shane sometimes looks a little special himself.

The downs girl desperately trying to tell him they're just in drag kills me.

Dude they need to hire you. This was some top tier editing that made that entire podcast clip more funny than it initially was

Having never seen the show, your edits putting them in right after Shane tells it is like a chefs kiss

That slow clap at the end kills me. He’s disappointed but doesn’t want to disrespect the performance still.

My highschool had a down syndrome boy named duncan. He was hilarious and very self aware so he knew teachers wouldn't reprimand him. Every now and then he would bust into one of our classes with no warning and everybody would cheer "DUNCAN!!" then he would hit on one of the girls in the front row as the teacher tried there best to usher him out. Sometimes they would be successful but forget to lock the door and he would pop back in a second later to the same round of cheers. Everybody loved duncan because he got us out of a lot of class work. We had quite a few teachers forget to give homework and admit it was because of him. Whenever he walked down the hallways he would have both hands up ready to high five everybody in the hall. We knew that the more we pumped him up, the more he would interrupt class and reduce our workload. He was legit the most popular guy in school haha.

I worked with a down syndrom guy adopted from Hong Kong when he was a baby, He was 35 years old I felt like I was the only one who understood him. I felt so bad quitting that job leaving him there with people who didn't understand him.

Any one in my life i have ever met with Downs syndrome is helpful, happy and can light up a room / train carriage etc with the honesty and quirkiness they bring to any conversation. Truly they are one of Gods gifts.
