This 2023 Virtual T3IC session, “AP Precalculus: The Nuts and Bolts of the Course Including the AP Exam, Technology Use and Resources,” is the first in a strand, “Advanced Placement Precalculus: Using TI Technology To Develop Understanding.”
This session discusses:
• What makes an Advanced Placement course and, in particular, what is important to know about AP Precalculus, some thoughts about the exam, and the ways technology can be useful.
• How technology can be used to help students develop both procedural and conceptual fluency, interpret and connect multiple representations, and engage students in interpreting and reasoning about mathematical concepts and relationships.
Strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for Advanced Placement Precalculus are shared during the four sessions in the AP Precalculus strand.
