Good work, but in the long run, that rod will break suddenly. So, set a safety belt also. Then it will be perfect.

Very impressive..
I've seen coconut extractors use all sorts of speedy foot and hand climbing mechanism.
But none use a sitting mechanism...

If it is launched the stores it will be a bit expensive for farmers but, it will save more than 500 farmers dying from falling from a tree. Excellent work.

Edit: It also needs some upgrades like more safety.

If you don't need to sit, like most coconut tree climbers, it can be built simpler with only the top part where the hands hold and the bottom part where you stand. Great innovation though. Congrats

Hey instead of the screw I'd think about an alternative option to lock the system. As the cross-sectional area of the screw is susceptible to shear stress ( Tangential Stress )
