To everyone who is wondering how he didn't tear his feet apart...

The technique we were taught as kids, in P.N.G, (same as what he utilised in this video) is to twist a band of fabric onto and in between your feet to create a harness like setup that not only allows you to grip the tree going up, but also allows you to place your weight on the fabric coming down to not rip your feet apart. It's actually a very easy technique once you get your ankles used to the angle they need to deal with on the way up. Well that and dealing with any fear of heights you may have... 😉
