LG G3 (70% Brighter with MLA OLED Panel) & C3 OLED TV First Look

We take a first look at the LG G3 (which is 70% brighter than conventional OLEDs) & C3 OLED TVs which were launched by the South Korean brand at CES 2023.

In most markets, the 97-inch LG G2 will be carried over, so there won't be a 97G3.

The "Includes Paid Promotion" message in this video refers to the sponsorship by British AV retailer Richer Sounds. If you're interested in getting a new TV, please support this channel by considering buying from them:

I’m looking forward to seeing a comparison between G3 X C3 X G2 X C2 to see the difference in brightness and overall image quality. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Nice to see you out at CES again. If you get the chance, can you ask if LG will update the C1 and other older sets with DTS passthrough via a firmware upgrade?

The rate of development in OLED technology is great. Hopefully they will get cheaper soon so upgrading will become affordable for most punters.

I bought my LG c1 last year from richer sounds ! Was great experience, 6 year warranty 250£ discount and also a ticket to a football game :) it’s a good shop I agree

“To be fair, this was easier to figure out than the plot of Tenet.” 😂
Haha I love it!

Glad I waited for 77" qd-oled and G3 Evo. This year I'll buy.

I’ll wait until 83” with MLA -
My 65” GX kicked the bucket after alittle over a year. 77” G2 owner now & its fantastic. Without the MLA I feel the G3 wouldn’t be a notable upgrade

Easier to work out than the plot of Tenet! 🤣🤣👍👍 Diddy diddy do was a good year, but it's come and gone. Looks like diddy diddy shree is going to continue some of the exciting progress we saw in 2022. What a great time to be an AV enthusiast! If you didn't grow up with 480i NTSC broadcast, it can be more difficult to appreciate modern display tech. Thanks for the awesome coverage as always, Vincent! Looking forward to additional coverage.

Disapointed that C3 does not have a heatsink. It seems that panel wise the C3 won't compete with G2, like the C2 competed with G1

I have my new G2 65" in a very bright room with two huge floor to ceiling windows directly opposite it. I have no complaints about it's brightness. I'm sure the G3 will be great but I'm glad I didn't wait another year for just a few incremental improvements, especially since I snapped up my G2 for $1, 9000 on sale for the holiday season. I'd bet the 65" G3 will be nearly twice that when it launches.

I have a C2 and it’s bright as hell why do we need more brightness?!?!

Call me when the C series has this tech. I'd get a G series, but I won't be wall mounting. The optional stand for the G2 caused the TV to rest at an angle too, which is a show stopper.
Also, not that it actually matters much for my own setup, but why "can't" LG OLEDs process DTS when they did it just fine until the 2019 models? Sounds more like not wanting to pay for the license than anything else.

Yet again, the G3 seems like the only interesting model, but of course the most expensive

My dear friend Vincent, long live QD-OLED.

Running my 77" C2 at 40% brightness since anything above cooks my retinas, so I am not really hyper-excited about even brighter TVs.

I like the Samsung S95c TV with 2000 nits of brightness

The TV (panel) space has been very interesting lately. Lots of innovation between competitors and major improvements every year. Excited for MicroLED and more OLED monitors as well.
