Very helpful, thanks! I had my three 3 em-dashes in place, but couldn't figure out how to get the spaces out. If you need to repeat the closed 3 em-dash several times like I did in the bibliography I'm working on, you can "copy" and "paste" in the compressed version.

Very nice demonstration. Unfortunately, it took a several-step, 54-second video to show how to make an em-dash in Word. A video on how to do that in Wordperfect would have taken three seconds --- one second to say, "Hi, " another second to show three rapid strokes on the hyphen key, and another second to say "Bye." There are so many other things that Wordperfect does so much faster than Word. It's amazing that Word ever got the drop on Wordperfect. But that's capitalism. No smear on capitalism, which works. But some things --- like em-dashes --- are more important than economic systems.
