The Analysis Services model used in both Power BI Desktop and SSAS allows solving of very complex modelling issue. In this session we will look at solving several complex modelling problems like many-to-many using the latest version of Power BI desktop and Analysis Services.

So good to see Chuck again. Even if on an old video!

Hi Kasper,

Would like to know your thoughts on SSAS Tabular being used as Data Warehouse tool in the future. As, PowerQuery is available in the next version of SQL Server, Do you think would that be the case?

Also, Do you think SSAS tabular & Multidimensional will merge in to single product.
Also, I have come across many clients/ partners who thinks PowerBI is not good for data modelling but it is merely a good data visualization tool. I don't think so that is the case.

Hi, Thanks for the video but I am unclear this video was deep dive with of Power BI with SSAS ? If SSAS OLAP cube is your data source then you cannot do any data modeling inside Power BI. For example, the many to many to relations is not possible for SSAS ? Please correct me if I am misunderstanding something.

While we are on this topic can you explain how would one show web URls/links in Power BI if the data source is an OLAP cube (for an Excel as a data source, we need to go to modeling tab and make the column as a 'Web URL' data category, but this is grayed out for OLAP cubes)
