Marcus & Millichap (MMI) CEO Hessam Nadji joins Catalysts to give insight into bank loans, the commercial real estate (CRE) market, and what real estate investors need to keep in mind.

Nadji comments on CRE investing at a time when experts worry a crisis could be looming for the sector: "As a lot of people went on the sideline, the astute investor was in the market making offers, maybe not executing transactions, but being in the front end of where the prices would adjust to the point where they made sense. If you look at multi-family [housing], for example, we've seen 20 to 25% price correction in most cases."

He continues: "So when you see a good asset in a market, you want to be in as an investor at those price points, you almost don't care about the interest rate. You almost don't care about the fact that the loan that you would take on would be at a much higher interest rate today than two and a half years ago, because interest rates will come in at some point."

Rate cuts will give a boost to commercial real estate in the form of slightly reducing still-incoming drops in property value

Rate cuts will only reinforce inflation, while resellers continue to the further damage & willing loaners could care less
