Miocic is 41 and hasn't fought since march 2021, 3 years now. I definitely think we should consider him as retired.

Jon had three years to bulk up to heavyweight, telling us the whole time this is the best version of himself and he’s more dangerous than ever. He fights one heavyweight and he immediately starts with this “ I’m too old for this” shit and it’s thinking about retirement. To be fair He does look old and slow, but that’s HIS fault for taking so many years off for PED suspensions and the 3 years of inconsistency. He openly admitted he would never fight Tom or Sergei Pav before they fought each other. Saying it “doesn’t make sense for his legacy” . This sport is brutal and no one’s legacy is worthy of being protected or receiving special treatment, , especially a multiple time cheater. You protect your legacy by TAKING FIGHTS AND PROVING YOUR BEST FIGHTER IN YOUR DIVISION . Jon doesn’t want to prove he’s the best in the division. He wants to fight a 40+ year-old man for an easy win and then vacate the belt and leave the division in limbo .(Jon was shaking his boots after that Tom Aspenal knockout over Pav and has been coming up with nonstop excuses ever since. )

What Mcgregor did to the lightweight division, Jones is currently doing the same to the heavyweight division. They both ruined their respective division and prevented fighters such as Khabib and Tom from becoming champion earlier.

tbh i do feel like most fans really don't care about jones fighting stipe for "legacy" purposes, it's just very frustrating that the belt is attached to this, especially considering it's a high chance both of them retire after the fight. the fight feels the same, belt or no belt, because either way, it doesn't change much in the division

Note: Tony didn’t technically defend his interim belt when he fought Gaethje. He was stripped of the belt due to injury when he got it off Kevin Lee and fought for again against Justin

Unpopular opinion: MMA is better off without Jon Jones. He's only ever hurt the spot.

What really bothers me is how his fans just defend this shit. Jon is getting ratio'd by Aspinall on Twitter despite having like 12X more followers because all he's doing is making a million excuses as to why he won't fight him. And there's also the fact that USADA isn't active throughout 2024, so it's mighty convenient that that's the year Jon gets injured again after being fine basically all his career.

People claiming the Stipe fight is better for Jon's legacy are just like Jon themselves; terrified of what Aspinall will undoubtedly do to him if they fight. How is 64 year old 220lbs 20 year ring rusted Stipe coming off a KO loss a better win for his resume than the guy with the fastest fight/win time in MMA history with among the best stats besides that from his finish ratio to his defense/strikes landed/taken per minute ratios? Aspinall is a monster of a kind nobody has seen before. Stopping that guy in the prime of his rise would be a HUGE statement so far beyond doing literally anything else at this point.

Duck, duck, cocaine, duck, duck, PEDs, duck, duck, Gane, duck….. no goose

Jones won’t fight Aspinal simply because he’s younger, faster and a more hungry to fight than Stipe. Dude has always been a schmuck

The jones fan boys blatantly ignoring the fact that Jon has never fought an actual champion for the heavyweight belt and now he’s avoiding the interim champ 😂 you can’t make this shit up

Over in ONE FC, Anatoly "Sladkiy" Malykhin just became a 3 weight-division champ in MW, LHW, and HW with no signs of slowing down. Super entertaining fighter, would recommend 👍

Jones has sat out of his 12 year career for 6 years going on 7. When you look at his fights they’re good/great but his inactivity is actually half of or more than half of his career. Definitely overlooked.

Truthfully, I'd rather see:

1) Jones vs. Aspinal, Main
2) Stipe vs. The English Language, Co-Main
