There were a few blown up middleweights he fought in all honesty. Machida, Chael, vitor, and even guys like Rashad Evans who just would be outsized by most light heavyweights today. Not that those wins don't mean anything but remember how close every jon fight was when he had to fight a legit 205 guy like Gus and Reyes. So I understand the argument in that but can't deny Jon's win streak and how good those guys were even if they were undersized so idk.

Also should Mayweather not have fought Canelo? Doesn't it look great for Floyd that he beat Canelo considering the success he's had since that loss? Jon should do the same or vacate

I don’t think Jon Jones is scared of Tom Aspinall he’s just not dumb. Jon is coming off a pectoral injury and fighting a young hungry talented fighter isn’t a great idea. He should vacay the belt have his fight with Stipe for a warm up fight then fight Tom Aspinall for Heavyweight championship

First take of wades i respectfully disagree with, mans never ducked a fight his whole career. This Stipe v Jones fights been in the works, and a lot of people, myself included, really want to see Stipe v Jones. Injured in training and didn't cancel the fight. He's recovering, and we're gonna see that fight. Tom is doing what Tom should do and start building that fight. Jones isn't gonna duck Tom. i believe he works Stipe and then takes the Tom fight next. Everyone, i believe, is upset cause the timing is all jacked up now with Jon needing to recover. If Jon didn't get injured and that fight happened as planned, this timeline with Tom would be way more realistic, and we'd see that fight this year. I really want to see both of these fights. None of these guys are the dudes to duck fights either. We're gonna see this whole storyline play out. it's just gonna take a bit more time.

I find it so hard to believe that the UFC are sleeping on a cash cow that is Tom by not allowing him to be the one too beat Jones. The draw he would get after that fight would be insane and I have full faith that Tom will go on to be not only the HW GOAT but a GOAT of the entire sport. The guy is always evolving and humble so it’s hard to believe otherwise. Give Jones his flowers at the end of the fight of course but create that massive boost to a potential legendary legacy for Tom
