Engraving with the Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker on acrylic ornaments etching ornament engrave

Engraving acrylics on your Cricut explore series or Maker machines is really easy and fun. You can only engrave acrylic up to 2MM thick but there is a lot of options for what you can make.
You need to use an after market tool with your Cricut Explore to etch into the blanks. I will link that below for you to find the one I use.
Be sure to do some test engraving before doing your full project

these came out super cute. When I do engraving I usually leave my template shape on the canvas then line up the design. Once I have it where I want it I hide the template shape on the make it screen then start engraving. takes a little bit of the guesswork out of trying to get the design lined up on the mat

Turn out great, question what did you mean the Cricut Air 2 Explorer is not meant to engrave but shown it did 😮 I’ve heard this before from others, I really would like to try it but afraid it might ruin my machine 🤔❣️

Thanks for sharing how to do these! I'm curious when you say your preference is to place your shapes in the middle of the mat, does that just give a better area to apply the extra adhesive and to have equal room around it to help add stability?

Hi, I have a Cricut machine. My question is why do some images that are uploaded permit me to cut images larger that the Cricuts 6.75 X 9.25. I'm not talking about slicing I'm talking about full size single image 8.5x11.25 decals? I wonder also if you can do this for a single large color printed images? Does it have anything to do with the type of file like SVG or PNG. Can you please let me know. Thanks :^)
