Family went to CPS and they investigated; got the ball rolling and preventing her from abusing other babies.

Nurse Abuser also worked taking care of elderly. Families may want to check their famiy members she had access to.

Lucy Letby, a UK nurse that murdered seven babies in the NICU where she worked, had a few parallels to this case, except there was no racial overtones in the UK case. The doctors all pointed to Letby as the baby killer but hospital administrators ignored all warnings and red flags and did a poor investigation. They went as far as making the doctors who accused Letby APOLOGIZE to her for the accusations. The administrators were more concerned about protecting the hospital’s reputation than stopping a baby-killer in their midst.

So they suspected her, suspended her for 1 year with pay and during that year, no babies were injured like when she worked there and they brought her back? Did they think that it was just a coincidence that the injuries stopped when she wasn't there? They should have called the police when they first suspected her.

This is why my husband slept on the couch in the NICU with our baby until I was well enough to switch places with him. It was even a male nurse that tried to make a big deal out of him sleeping on the couch saying “if he’s that tired maybe he should go home” then proceeded to approach the incubator looking agitated. I told him I would rather him not! Listen, the way I reported him and he was pulled from caring for our baby. If you can keep your baby or go with them for procedures please do so. Trust NOONE!!! 😡

The hospital should be sued for bringing her back. Absolutely throwing those babies to the wolf. The families should sue for injuries to the babies. These children will have lifelong effects from the injuries, aside from the reasons they were in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to begin with.

I live in Henrico County VA and even had surgery at Henrico Dr.'s, I could not believe a nurse would do this, my heart broke at the thought of someone harming an infant, I am glad the children are doing alright at this point but as those parents I would want blood.

My aunt was fired from the NICU bc she told on her yt coworkers for mishandling Blk & Hispanic babies. They’re 1st little moments in the world should know no pain😢

This is absolutely terrible. I worked in a hospital for over 40 years, this should have been a direct dismissed with criminal charges brought against her. And, the hospital should be brought up on charges also for not handling this properly. Patient is the No1 priority.

According to an article that I read on The Washington Post, one newborn was found with twelve — yes, TWELVE — fractures, and no one is screaming from the rooftops or sounding the alarm bells?! I’m very curious to see if more people go to prison and if they are going to be held accountable for their pure negligence when it came to this woman. How on earth was she allowed to go on paid administrative leave, for A YEAR, while she was under suspicion for harming children, only to return and do the exact same thing. This is absolutely horrible!

My mother was a nurse, went into nursing school immediately after HS graduation and was an RN her entire working life.
She loved people, but babies?! Oh my, that woman was a baby addict!
She was called to make the last attempt at finding a vein before a baby or child had to be given a cutdown to find a vein.
It would hurt her so badly because she couldn't explain to those precious little ones that she was trying to help them.
