Video shows New York NICU nurse slam baby into bassinet

A Long Island hospital has fired a nurse after video showed her slam a 2-day-old crying baby into his bassinet. WNBC's Pei-Sze Cheng reports.

This made me very emotional. Completely unacceptable - the nurse needs to be fired immediately. I would file a lawsuit if that were my baby. What a precious little angel you both have and thank God that your man was there to capture this incident.

OMG, this is beyond unsettlingly; egregious abuse. Imagine how many other innocent & vulnerable babies she’s harmed???? My heart goes out to this young couple. I’m so glad he’s home, and doing well.

I highly doubt this is the first time she's done this. Not even out of the womb for three days and he's already faced abuse. Poor little guy. Thank god he's got two parents who love him.
