MORE Nightblade Class changes coming in Update 43!

That's right, update 43 for the Elder Scrolls Online comes with even MORE Nightblade class changes!
This time underlining some of the inconsitencies with the class and it's skills vs passive layout.

They are making it basically so that damage is for damage, and defense is for defence rather than double dipping on skewed skills and buffs.

This sounds like a great quality of life update for nightblade tanks. Also having to cast shadow abilities less frequently means more time to buff allies and debuff enemies.

Prefered if they kept mirage as an assassination ability. Gave NB supports a way to get their hemorrhage passive to proc. Lotus fan still great in add pulls but nothing great in there for boss fights.

On the fence.. i run concealed as spamable on magblade specifically to keep up buff. Enjoy not having to watch another timer.

Hope they make Hemorrhage passive to also give spell crit... Not only weapon crit

Good direction i wish cloak had invisibility on both morphs though like a heal cloak.

Old skill location makes sense because back in the day class skill threes were not seperated by dd-healer-tank. Actually, the current seperation is a terrible limitation. It is so bad even the devs bend the rules they made (ex: warden's frost aoe)

I dont understand making a change to nightblade that encourages heavy armor use. Ive recently read drawbacks of wearing heavy armor, like being more vulnerable to spell damage. It seems like nightblade is made more for light and med armor as they actually have bonuses for doing so. Im close to CP 160 now so ill soon be cleaning up my horrible armor mess.

If ONLY they would put this kind of effort in fixing the necro class because even with all the changes on the PTS, it barely fixed anything except now you can use regular tri pots lol DPS increase was so minimum as well... Piss poor development and extremely lazy programming for animation

The underlying reason they did this NOW as opposed to any other time was because Update 43 introduces a new NB class set that activates when a Shadow ability is used. It’s extremely powerful on paper, but PvP people were livid that the set could be activated by casting Veiled Strike, which was technically a Shadow ability. Obviously it’s not anymore, and the new set will only activate off of defensive abilities. None of its functionality was touched however, which is a major win for PvE people.

I’m extremely glad they changed the skills around instead of nerfing the new set like PvP people wanted. It’s going to be a very strong option for my NB tank coming up.
