what i hated in some of these episodes was how she always jumped to conclusions and made all these assumptions without taking the time to listen and hear people out.

Well, he's not wrong about that. Kind of disliking Carter right now. She doesn't really have a right to force her way into Ben's life and not believe what he's saying. So far, he's been telling her the truth or just keeping silent--I don't recall him lying to her just yet.
