The Rule is simple: If it is Not your horse, don't touch it.
The Royal Guard is not "made up" for your amusement and photo ops.
He is a working soldier, in uniform, and you are impeding him in his duty.
Give this magnificent man, and his magnificent horse the respect and space they deserve.
Do not touch the horse, or hinder the Guard in any way, or the Guard will issue an order to stop whatever you're doing to the horse, or to simply stand clear.
Do not laugh.
This working soldier is doing his job, and you are being extremely rude.

I was touring London last year and I saw a lot of this. It is a wonderful city but these guys are not for show! They are there for a job. It’s surprising how some people can’t respect that.
