Interesting that English has basically the same pattern as Brazillian Portuguese on this aspect. We also pronounce Ga, Go and Gu hard, and Gi and Ge softly, but we have a different syllable to represent the hard Gi and Ge sounds, so you dont need to guess while reading. The hard Gi and Ge are represented as Gui and Gue.
I never really studied English Pronunciation in debt, so even though i know how these words are said, by hearing, i never understood why. Good video.
