I remember shopping for my gt premium I was looking at 40-46k before taxes. Seeing these prices jump so aggressively is crazy

The S650 is more of a refresh of the S550 than a new generation (same engines, transmission, dimensions). A good side-by-side will be the Dark Horse vs. a Mach1 or Bullitt.

A local dealer has a 2024 GT premium priced at 56k….they have a few Mach 1’s a couple thousand below that. I’d say for the price the Mach 1 is a much better buy.

The rear design of the S550 was perfect. This new S650 has a nicer front end, but the rear is not as good. The 2015-2017 version of the S550 was the most beautiful. I like the Fox body gauge option.

Honestly if I could afford to have a sports car and NOT use it as a daily driver this would definitely be it.

The only thing I hate is how the gauge cluster and infotainment is one continual screen. But the steering wheel having that flat bottom is great and the rear sequential lights being a bit concave will make it definitely stand out.

I think this car is awesome, so much so l ordered a GT premium with all the options, bells and whistles for 61453 dollars in Rapid Red. I received a text from the Ford Motor Company and they will start building my car in the week of October 9th. They also sent me the cars VIN number.
If it weighs a little more and is a little slower, l don’t care. I love the sound of the engine, l love the interior and big screens and the overall look of the car. Ford did a great job designing this car.

You tell me, you could almost buy 2 GT's for the price of one dark horse. You could buy a GT a twin turbo kit, plasma man intake. And they built transmission. And have money left over.

If it's slower, it's because of the tires. Upgraded rubber will improve the traction.

Yeah, it's worth it if you don't have a newer Mustang but not if you already have an S550 from 2018 or newer. I have a 2018 Manual GT that I OWN. I'm not going into debt for the new Mustang. Besides, mine is slightly modded and puts out 500 hp, so I'm good.

Much better than the s550 refresh. They should’ve kept the 15-17 style til the end on that gen.

I prefer the mustang gt 2018 because the finished the sporty look from the inside and now it looks like a basic Ford car

I feel like if ford didn’t mention they used a refined version of the old chassis ppl wouldn’t be complaining how similar it is to the s550. Idk that’s my opinion but I like the looks of the car

not worth 60k, mustangs should be 30k-35k for us normal people, not 60K

These S650 MT-82 equipped Mustangs will likely have gear lock out issues like my 2023 S550 that I just traded in. I would not recommend anyone buy a Mustang equipped with the MT-82 transmission of any year. That said the Tremec unit in the Dark Horse and Mach 1 are probably better option if you can afford it. I'm going with an S650 with the automatic transmission. It's good enough for the girls I date. 🤣
