Just amazing craftsmanship and awesome idea to use every part of the animal! With the second half you could make a fish spear or something along the lines of that! Just awesome!

Crude but certainly effective. Thanks for speeding up the process with sand paper as well, stones are neat but arent as quick.

So can you show the actual sewing with the awl, please? Do you have to put a kerf at the tip to carry the thread or sinew thru? Please show.

O.K. love it, but what to do when you're out in the wild and you have no sand paper to smooth & help finish the Awl?

Isn’t breathing in bone dust dangerous?

Why do you need this if you have a swiss army knife?

2:15 cutting on top of your leg. 2:33 slamming knife blade into rock. Apart from that a good video, Thanks.

Wow! At 2:13-ish you were SAWING a groove in your workpiece ON YOUR LEG WITHOUT A GUARD like wood or leather! Really? Not too bright risking a leg injury nor is it a good example for those who are just learning how to do this kind of stuff. PLEASE think about the job and possible hazards before you start; it could save your life - literally! Otherwise, really good info.
