The 'New' Xbox Headset is Here

Xbox has announced a new headset but it's sorta new with updated components but it looks very similar to the outgoing model.

The "old" one works great for me, I don't think the audio is muddy.

I still use my old one. Being able to connect to both my console and phone at the same time is awesome! I can now talk to my wife over the phone when she's at work AND hear my game audio!

When you added Dolby Atmos to the first one, the audio got way better.

Wish we had some reviews. The original is fine, but you need to adjust the EQ a little bit with the accessories app - it’s too bass heavy out of the box. Turn down 125hz by 3 and 250hz down by 2. That brings out the highs. Enjoy.

Hope these ones do not turn on my Xbox every time. Sucks trying to use them for everything else because of that. Keep that to just the Controllers. That makes more sense.

I really hope they have upped the sound quality on these.. I like the other one from a comfort and convenience standpoint but the sq is severely lacking. No LFE below 50ish hz, overemphasized mid and high bass exacerbates the lack of low end, and the highs are a big muddy mess. Honestly, while they're well built and comfortable, they suck because of the SQ.
I really hope they are better this time around.

I have the 20th anniversary headset. I have a PS4 Gold headset that I love, but the headband recently snapped. I got a Steelseries Nova pro 1 wired and its not bad but I noticed a difference for sure.

Mine is kinda still working. However I had to replace the foam ear cups and foam headband, which for the latter part one of its plastic pieces got a crack, which caused the general headband to being loose. Also the audio quality seems different because the foam is thicker than the original ones.

The most major issue is that the Headset sometimes it turns off completely right after I turned it on, which only happens when it connects first to a Bluetooth device and then to the Official Wireless Frequency (a.k.a Xbox Console or Wireless Adapter for Windows) - however it doesn't happen when other way around, only connected to BT or Wireless, or when connected first to BT, then way later to Wireless bc turning on PC/Xbox. The rarest issue is when I recharge my Headset while it's on, the back LED starts to light both Orange and White LED color, causing it to Glow in Pink.

Needed more swivel from the cups as I feel the comfort sucks. My Starfield headset is just sitting in the corner gathering dust.
