Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office rescued a boy from floodwaters after Hurricane Milton.

i THINK i know this guy. He was saying everything in a live group chat

He said that he was attempting to get to a shelter when the worst had hit after a tornado blew his roof open, which was only being covered by a tarp due to damage. He then got swept away by the storm surge. This is a message he sent me:

“I really don’t know why I’m just casually typing this but I am literally on a fence right now and water is up to my stomach”

I kept motivating him to not stop trying, he said that his phone service was extremely bad. Rain was pounding on him, and the entire time he remained strong.

He has said that he is with his family again at a hurricane shelter.

Way to go, kid. I’m damn proud of you.

He 'rescued' himself by catching the 'Marine Unit's' attention & swimmig to them! I would have jumped in to make sure I got him, & I'm a 50yr old woman! Zero 'rescue' went down here!

So when people get mad at us for getting mad at them not evacuating. THIS is what we are talking about. You know dang well he thought it would be cute to go outside and play in the storm and it nearly took his life. The boy and his family need to be punished. This recklessness is unacceptable. The chances of him getting killled and then his body becoming a biohazard that these officers have to deal with was really high. For those of you that want to get mad im sorry but this country is seriously missing accountability. The ego is off the charts and im tired of dealing with the consequences of other peoples egos.
