Imma warn you right now, steel is cheap, but it’s also harder. That means noticeably more recoil since it doesn’t expand when fired, and failures to feed. Steel casings with no polymer coating create a lot more friction than brass. A standard AR bolt carrier group might not be able to properly feed, or even pick up successive rounds. Not just cheap ARs either. I’ve had it happen with a brand new LMT before. That’s why I only shoot brass, or polymer coat now.
