I'm a front end developer working in an agency in London for the past 3 years. What I wanted to point out is that learning how to code is a HARD thing so don't be disappointed or give up if you find it hard to learn. It's not only you, but 99% of the people who now code fluently, they once had the same problems like you! Keep coding, keep making this planet a friendlier and smarter place :)

Every time I watch a javascript tutorial:
My brain: Got it, this is easy.
Chrome console: error.

Html is like foundation and structure of the house, just the plain basic structure. CSS is like the interior and exterior design. The color. The floor mat, the tiles, the paintings etc.
JavaScript is like the doors/ hinges, chairs, water taps, mirrors, lights, switches, clocks etc that add to the function and that you can use and interact with.

I had to come here to get motivated. I'm almost left in tears about how challenging this is.

learning HTML /CSS is like Learning a Language. Learning JavaScript and other Programming languages like C and C++ is like Learning Math, it requires a lot of mental effort to understand the logic of these languages and the problem solving. that's why JavaScript is so hard.

Html/css is like learning vocab.
JavaScript is like learning grammar.

Thank you! I just started to dive in to JS and it was running in to a brick wall. I´ve been studying HTML and Css full time on my own for a month now and feel like a really understand them good enough to move on. And my next step was JS and I felt like running in to a brick wall with my head first....I guess I just need to grind and try to understand :D

I'm one of JS learner and I just started about 5months ago, from the begining it looks like piece of cake, but when it comes to deep part, my brain like tilting upsidedown and sometime I had to read the same tutorial multiple times to understand it fully beside writing my own JS code on notepad++ and run it. Yeah, coding need alot of practices! :))

I absolutely LOVE JavaScript!!! It is just amazing! At first, yeah, it was hard, but then, after I got the basics figured out, everything became soooo COOL! You just have to stick to it and go beyond that point of "uhhh, I got stuck, I do not like this, I do not get this". One thing that I truly hate is Sass. I think the syntax and everything is horrible. And frankly, I just started learning it, but I find it redundant and useless at times. But I guess it is that bump you get at the beginning when you learn something new... Hope that will pass with Sass as well. What do you think about Sass, Chris? Do you use it? Or just go with plain CSS? Thanks for your videos, btw! :)

Hey Guys This is a video where one comes here and gets depressed at the negativity of this dude at the start of the video
However its not his fault that he does not know he is putting a lot of struggling individuals down and who may switch to another youtube video without watching this video till the end.
If you are learning something difficult and someone comes along and tells you its really hard to learn, it may cause numerous if not thousands to "GIVE UP' . Keep going. Rome was not built in a day.
This is what this Dude should be saying after each continuously 'NEGATIVE speech of how difficult JS is. HE came through in the end of words encouragement.
Thank You Chris Sean.
