Great review. I finally pulled the plug and ordered one with the stray gray hair color scheme. Since I know I won't sit still until I put upgrades on it, I ordered it with Chris King headset and B/B. Also upgraded the brakes to TRP G-spec and upgraded the cranks to race face. I figured I might as well buy once and cry once. Can't wait to get mine.

Thank you for this review. Seems like a lot of money to spend on a bike only to have to spend how much $$ on upgrades? Bike should come with better brakes, cranks, Etc.

How much does your bike with the upgrades cost, I'm trying to narrow down between the Surly low-side and the Surly Bridge Club, medium frame, it will be for biking minimum maintenance roads in Alaska

Can you compare this to a 26” BMX? Wondering how it would compare to a Big Ripper or Redline SQB.
