It's a lovely watch. Personnally I would have strongly preferred it with a meca quartz movement with a slimmer case design and a date window at the 6 like the Tudors have, both decisions would make the watch much more useful. And I think it looks a little unbalanced without the date window at the 6 o'clock position.

You can't have a screwdown crown on a manual wind movement -- if you did, and you fully wound up the movement, when you would go to screw in the crown, you'd snap the mainspring with the additional winding.

Great first look mate. Pretty watch! Has a few little issues, but that's normal of course. I think the black dial is my fave. Love the movement in these, should be on display as its so stunning to watch. Regards, Dan.

I received the black dial a couple of weeks ago. Genuinely stunned by the quality. Paid 200gbp from Ali express. The tudor BB chrono is my grail watch and I ordered this as a stop gap while i waited on the hype to die down but genuinely no longer looking at the tudor as the san martin is that good. Finishing is as good as anything in my collection which includes 1k seiko and longines. Only criticism I have is the crown. Being a handwind it's very difficult to grip, being both slim and lightly knurled. Wish it was a little thicker and with the hex logo instead of the awful dollar sign.

This chronograph has made a wonderful first impression with me and I’m willing to overlook the “S” on the crown because it faces away from me. Lovely watch, I just wish they didn't use the snowflake hour hand. Btw, the logo is a hexagon, not an octagon 🤙

Nice but I prefer a watch with less dial and no date window as possible because to me it's just to much that can go wrong' Ive just purchased a San Martin water ghost V3 with black dial and NH35a movement and it looks and runs like a dream' it's wrist presence is amazing its looks it's build quality is exceptional it looks and runs like a watch you would expect to pay a hell of a lot more for...I think the watch you are showing would look better with a thicker black outline on the pointers because they do not stand out very much against that white dial..✌️🧐🇬🇧🇺🇦

Nice watch for those who like chronos.
I find the dial and indexes very well executed.
Indeed this $ crown is very disappointing
I actually like the plane caseback which helps reduce the thickness of the watch, which is already quite big.

Looks like a very nice watch. On the clasp, I wonder if or when the micro adjustments will be by quick release spring bars? Not quite EsXX Link, but still no tool required.

Slightly better dimensions than the Tudor especially with the lug width and strap taper. Also like that they didn't do a screwdown crown on a handwind watch
