I just received two San Martin watches I purchased during the end of summer sale and one of them was this watch. I paid $267.57 USD including tax and shipping. Both watches were absolutely flawless. My BB Chrono was a bit different than the version you present here. Gone are the very nice caps on the hand spindles. At first I was a bit disappointed, however when I watched reviews on the Tudor BB watch the spindles are not capped either so this is more accurate to the Tudor. Now that being said, I don't care a bit about the Tudor. I bought this San Martin because I love chronographs and this watch is stunning with a good movement. These are my first San Martin watches and I am completely in love with both.

I'm glad they made the minute hand longer. Getting the dial printing issue resolved would be a nightmare on Aliexpress.1. "Hello friend. Sometimes the dial can appear that way due to the light." 2. "Hello friend, sometimes dial can look slightly different." 3. "Hello friend, please send picture." 4. "Hello friend picture is not clear". 5. "Hello friend, everything is normal." 6. "Hello friend, you can send the watch in for refund."

Yes, if your Seagull ST1901-equipped watch has a screw-down crown, you will need to unscrew the crown EVERY TIME you want to wind the spring. After winding, you should screw the crown back down to maintain the watch’s water resistance and protection.

To wind it:

Unscrew the crown by turning it counterclockwise until it pops out.
Wind the watch by turning the crown in the clockwise direction.
Screw the crown back down by pressing it in and turning it clockwise to ensure it's sealed properly.

Agree with your positive assesment of this very good chrono, I really am impressed with San Martin build quality, I have not had your 33 minuite fade out and it should not have passed their QC filter, however having bought 3 ST 19 watches which I do love the only one which has operated flawlessly is this one.The other 2 had to be returned to be corrected and the other has niggling issues not related to accuracy.
Great homage watch a level above other st19 powered homages

Glad that they changed the minute hand to a longer version. The SN052 is my 2nd San Martin watch and I still don't know if I should be happy or disappointed. Mine came with stuck hairspring and a lot of dust under the glas and on the dial. Fortunately I was able to fix it by myself. Imagine sending the watch back to China and paying all the taxes again.
They need a better quality controll...

I wish they would do a speedy homage with is movement. The lack of hacking would be historically accurate. The ST19 movement has QC issues; but San Martin uses a good version.

The Seagull ST1901 is a hand-wound mechanical movement, not a self-winding (automatic) one. This means you need to manually wind the watch to keep it running

This is definitely my next watch. I want the real Tudor, it's my grail watch. Unfortunately, its way out of my price range.

Did they update the minute hand? Because all of the pictures and videos on Aliexpress the minute hand is just too short. It doesn't even reach to the minute track. Yours looks great with a longer minute hand.

I just bought this. Anybody drop a link for a display caseback? Ive googled and youtubed and read comments reddit etc etc... nothing tells me what size ir what part for this model. There are display case backs but which one for this model?

I actually like this better than the BB. I think I prefer the color of the dial and indices, and the bezel being larger, on the San Martin. Normally I don’t care for the black bezel, white dial, color scheme but I do in this case. 🤷

I love this watch, but I'm one of those that can't stand the snowflake hour hand. I wish they had used a straighter hand that matched the minute hand, which would also differentiate it from the Tudor as well.
