I can’t wait for your Jane Austen July content! So excited for everyone talking about Persuasion, my favourite book. Rewatching Jane Austen adaptations is one of the true comforts of life.

Great TBR! There are a lot of letters to read for a month's time. Maybe picking a time period, like when she was writing Mansfield Park, and just reading those letters?

I am obsessed with the 2008 version of persuasion. I own the video and watch it again and again. Sounds like a great month of Jane Austen. I look forward to hearing all about it in your videos.

I am also really excited to reread Persuasion, this will be my first reread of the novel. And I'm reading Lady Susan for the first time, after hearing you and Katie rave so much about this, I am super intrigued. Wow, that is a huge volume of letters! I have a much shorter, presumably heavily edited version which I read last year. They're fun to dip into occasionally. The Paula Byrne biography sounds interesting, I wonder how she analyses the famous writing box, the Austen artefact I find most interesting. I am intrigued by the Charlotte Lennox novel. She is a fascinating historical figure but I've not yet read any of her fiction. Shame you won't get to it, maybe one to put on my TBR for next year. Lover's Vows, at least the glimpses we get from Mansfield Park, sounds fun though!

I read or thought I read all of Jane Austen’s books in my 30s. Now at 70, I realize I haven’t read Mansfield Park. I joined The Goodreads group and I will read both books with everyone. I’ve already started on Mansfield Park. I will upload my Jane Austen July pile of possibilities tomorrow night. My books are all different than yours except for Mansfield Park and Persuasion. I’m so excited for my first Jane Austen July. Aloha

Recipe for Persuasion is so good!! I still haven't read the first book in the series, but it's on my TBR for July. You definitely don't need to read the P&P retelling to enjoy the Persuasion one.

I am so excited that it is Jane Austen July again! I love all the reading during this month. I plan to participate in the readalongs. I plan to read Lady Susan but haven't decided on the other books yet. I am looking forward to participating!

I read the Claire Tomalin biography last year in July, and it was great! Such good information and letters.
I'm going to be reading Persuasion, and Les Mis by Victor Hugo. I'll be watching Love and Friendship for the first time. Happy Reading!

Thanks for sharing your list! I am planning to participate--it's been a while since I've read any Austen, and I could use a dive into it! Still working on my TBR (except for the group reads, of course). I may read Lovers' Vows--as you said, it seems perfect to go along with Mansfield Park!

I read the Claire Tomalin biography last year and it may have been the best book I read last year. It was outstanding. I was halfway tempted to reread it this year, but I bought the John Mullan book about Austen that everyone talks about so that is on tap for me in July. I hope to post my TBR this weekend!
